TUCSON, Ariz., Dec. 21, 2011 – Integra Group Real Estate LLC, a brokerage firm specializing in the marketing and sale of REO, HUD and distressed properties in Southern Arizona, announced today that the company is wrapping up its year of charitable efforts by making financial contributions to Green Valley Animal League and Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue, two local non-profit, all volunteer animal shelters dedicated to finding homes for abandoned animals.
These donations are examples of the many efforts Integra Group makes to support and bring awareness to abandoned animals throughout the year. Eric and Ofelia Lichtenheld, founders of Integra Group, also support No Paws Left Behind, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing awareness to the silent victims of foreclosure and aiding animals in need who have been left behind by distressed homeowners.
“We are extremely committed to giving back to the community and supporting our four-legged friends here at Integra,” said Eric Lichtenheld. ”It is important to make people more aware of the number of animals that are left behind, not only in the instance of foreclosure but to those who are neglected every day.”
Dedicated to giving back year-round, Eric and Ofelia are also members of a Japanese Taiko drumming group that regularly visits elementary schools to teach children the practice and culture. The Taiko group annually supports the National Alliance on Mental Illness’ NAMI Walk, which helps those affected by mental illness and is dedicated to education, support and advocacy on their behalf. The group also supports annual YMCA fundraisers.
“Our entire team at Integra recognizes the importance of giving back to the community, and this positive attitude not only strengthens the company but the community as well,” said Lichtenheld.
